To reset the 2008 Smart ForTwo service interval, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).

2. Within 4 seconds push the TRIP button twice to display the service indicator.  Switch off the ignition within 10 seconds.

3. Push and hold the TRIP button.  Turn ignition on (do not start engine).  Wait until the service indicator flashes and then shows “0”.

4. Release TRIP button.

5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
