After performing the oil change, the service internal will need to be reset. The reset can be performed by following these instructions:
Instrument Cluster (Basic Display):
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Press and hold the 0,0 button (located to the right of the instrument cluster).
3. Turn the igntion on (do not start the engine) and release the 0,0 button. Briefly press the double square button (located to the left of the instrument cluster).
4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
Instrument Cluster (Premium Display):

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Press and hold the 0,0 button (located to the right of the instrument cluster).
3. Turn the igntion on (do not start the engine) and release the 0,0 button.
4. A confirmation appears in the display. confirm request with the OK/RESET on the wiper lever or OK on the multi-function steering wheel.
5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
Rocker Switch:
1. Start the engine
2. Use the rocker switch on the windshield wiper lever to select "Settings" and confirm with button underneath windshield wiper lever.
3. Select the "Settings" menu followed by the "Service" submenu. Select "Reset" and confirm.
4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
Multi-Function Steering Wheel:
1. Start the engine.
2. Use the buttons on the multi function steering wheel.
3. Select the "Settings" menu followed by the "Service" submenu. Select "Reset" and confirm.

After performing the oil change, the oil change indicator will need to be reset. The reset can be performed by following these instructions:
i-MID (Intelligent Multi-Information Display):

Press the Start/Stop button once (do not start the engine).

Press the Menu button to go to the Vehicle Menu screen.

Select Vehicle Information with the (+) button, then press the SOURCE button.

Press the SOURCE button again to go to the Maintenance Info screen. The engine oil life reset mode will appear on the multi information display.

Select Yes with the (–) button, the press the SOURCE button. The engine oil life display returns 100%.

Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
Non i-MID Vehicles:
-
Turn the ignition to ON (II) (do not start the engine).

Display the engine oil life by repeatedly pressing the SELECT/RESET button.

Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button for 10 seconds or more. The maintenance item codes and the engine oil life indicator blink.

Press the SELECT/RESET button for 5 seconds or more. The displayed maintenance items disappear the engine oil life indicator shows 100%.

Turn the ignition off and then start the engine verify the indicator has been reset.

2. Ensure Trip Metre A reading is shown (use the Trip button for vehicles with a Multi-Information display or DISP for vehicles with a drive monitor display). Turn the ignition off.

Automotive, How To Fridays Comments Off on 2015 Ram 1500 Oil Life Reset & Service SpecsThe 2015 Ram 1500 is offered in a gasoline and diesel model. After performing the oil change the oil change indicator will need to be reset. To reset the oil change indicator follow these instructions:
1. Press the Start/Stop button but do not start the engine.
2. Press and release the DOWN arrow button to scroll downward through the main menu to “Vehicle Info”.
3. Press and release the RIGHT arrow button to access the ”Oil Life” screen.
4. Press and release the DOWN arrow button to select “Reset”, then press and release the Right arrow button to select reset of the Oil Life to 100%.
5. Press and release the Up arrow button to exit the EVIC screen.

1. Press the Start/Stop button but do not start the engine.
2. From the lower display, scroll to the right to access the secondary menu. Select the Maintenance Note icon.
3. From the Maintenance Note menu select the Maintenance icon.
4. Select All Parts and then Select the Maintenance item being serviced. Select Reset or set the service distance for the Maintenance item.

Please follow these instructions for the most common way to reset this service reminder:
1. Press the Start/Stop button but do not start the engine.
2. Press the SELECT/RESET knob repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the SELECT/RESET knob for more than 10 seconds. The engine oil life indicator and the maintenance codes blink.
