The 2004 Honda Pilot maintenance required indicator reminds you that your vehicle requires scheduled maintenance.

After the Maintenance Required Indicator is reset. It will come on for two seconds when you turn the ignition switch to ON (II) for the first 6,000 miles (9,600 km).

For the first 6,000 miles (9,600 km) after the Maintenance Required Indicator is reset. It will come on for two seconds when you turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

When you turn the ignition switch to ON (II). The indicator will briefly light up for 2 seconds and then flash for 10 seconds if the car has traveled between 6,000 miles (9,600 km) and 7,500 miles (12,000 km).

If you go over 7,500 miles (12,000km) without performing the scheduled maintenance, this indicator will remain on to remind you.

2004 Honda Pilot Maintenance Required Reset Instructions:

  1. Turn off the engine.
  2. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
  3. Hold the button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator resets.
  4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
