To reset the 2004 Toyota Avalon maintenance light, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Ensure ODO/TRIP display screen is in the odometer mode. Turn ignition off.
3. While pressing ODO/TRIP button, turn ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
4. Continue to hold button for over 5 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
