Without Steering Wheel Controls
1. Switch ignition on (do not start engine). Wait for the odometer reading to display before moving ahead.
2. Press button 0 on the instrument cluster for 30 seconds until a beep sounds.
3. On diesel engines with a long oil change interval: Press button M repeatedly until “rESEt .51/ rESEt .31” is shown on the display or on older instrument clusters “rESEt 229.5/ rESEt 229.3” is shown together with the oil can symbol.
4. Press button 0 for 3 seconds, release and press again.
5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
With Steering Wheel Controls
1. Switch ignition on (do not start engine). Wait for the odometer reading to display before moving ahead. If the odometer is not shown press the lower system selection (double square on bottom left of steering wheel ) button repeatedly.
2. Press the UP or DOWN arrow until “service scope x in xxx km” appears in the instrument cluster display.
3. Press button 0 on the instrument cluster for 30 seconds until a beep sounds.
4. Press the lower system selection (double square) button once.
5. Press the UP or DOWN button until “Service in xxx km” appears in the insturment cluster display.
6. Press button 0 on the instrument cluster. The menu “Carry out” appears in the instrument cluster display.
7. Press the UP or DOWN button until the menu selection “Oil types” appears in the instrument cluster display.
8. Press the + or – button until the oil desired oil specification is selected. Use the UP or DOWN arrow to select.
9. Press button 0 on the instrument cluster for 3 seconds until the display “Service confirmed” appears in the instrument cluster display.
10. Press the UP or DOWN button to display the new service scope in the instrument cluster display.
11. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
