To reset the 2000 Volkswagen Beetle maintenance light, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Press and hold the “TRIP” button located in the center of the instrument cluster.
3. Turn the ignition on (do not start the engine). Release the “TRIP” button and “Service” is displayed.
4. Press and hold the “TRIP” button for 10 seconds or until “Service” disappears from the display.
5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
