To reset the 2005 Mercedes G Class maintenance light, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the ignition to position 1 (one position before starting the engine).
2. Press the system selection button (left button on left steering wheel controls) repeatedly until the trip and total distance reading is shown in the multi information display.)
3. Press the scroll forward/back button. The display will show when the current service interval.
4. Press and hold the instrument cluster illumination button (left of instrument panel) for 3 seconds. “Reset service interval, press reset button for 3 s” appears.
5. Press and hold the instrument cluster illumination button for 3 seconds. “Service interval was reset” appears.
6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
