2014 SCION tC Maintenance Light Reset Instructions

The 2014 Scion tC maintenance light comes on and stays on after 5000 miles from the last oil change.  It is illuminated on the instrument cluster as MAINT REQD.   To reset the 2014 Scion tC maintenance light you can follow these instructions after an oil change service:

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting the engine).
2. Select trip meter A reading by using the trip meter button and then turn the ignition off.
3. While pressing the trip meter reset button, turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting the engine).
4. Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays “000000”.
5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
