BMW recommends the use of a reset tool.

2010 Mitsubishi Outlander

To reset the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander Service Interval, please follow these instructions:

1. The “---” display can be reset while the ignition switch is "OFF".  When the display is reset, the time until the next periodic inspection is displayed and "PERIODIC INSPECTION" is no longer displayed when the ignition is switched from "OFF" to "ON".

2. Lightly press the multi-information meter switch until the information screen switches to service reminder display screen.

3. Press and hold the multi-information meter switch for about 2 seconds or more to display the (wrench icon) and make it flash.

4. Lightly press the multi-information meter switch while the icon is flashing to change the display from “---” to "CLEAR".  After this, the time until the next periodic inspection will be displayed.5. Start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2008 Mercury Sable

To reset the 2008 Mercury Sable Oil Life, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).

2. Press and release SETUP to display "OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW".

3. Press and hold RESET for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.

4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2008 Mercury Sable Controls

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Press the DIC menu button on the turn signal lever to enter the vehicle information menu. Use the
thumbwheel to scroll through the menu items until you reach REMAINING OIL LIFE.
3. Press the SET/CLR button to reset the oil life to 100%. When prompted select YES or NO. Press the SET/CLR button to confirm.
4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1. Remove the instrument panel fuse box cover.
2. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
3. Press the OIL RESET button for 5 seconds and the change oil lamp should go off.
4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2007 Mercedes C350

To reset the 2007 Mercedes C Class Service light, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the ignition to position 1 (one position before starting the engine).

2. Press the system selection button (3 located on the lower left of the steering wheel) repeatedly until the kilometer reading is shown in the multi information display.)

3. Press the cluster illumination button (lower left of instrument panel) quickly 3 times.  The battery voltage will be displayed and an audible signal will sound.

 4. Turn the ignition to position 2.

5. Press the up or down arrows until the service menu appears.  Press the cluster illumination button once.  The oil menu is now displayed.

6. Use the +/- buttons to the select the oil used.  Use the up or down arrows to confirm.  The display will now show"RESET OIL CONFIRMATION.  PUSH R-BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS.'

7. Press and hold the cluster illumination button for 3 seconds.  The message "SERVICE CONFIRMED" is displayed.

8. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2007 Mercedes C Class Steering Wheel Controls

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Press the vehicle information button (i) until OIL LIFE REMAINING displays.
3. Press and hold the SET/RESET (check mark) button until 100% is displayed. You will hear 3 chimes and the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will go off.
4. Start the engine and verify CHANGE OIL SOON light goes out (if this does not happen, turn off the engine and repeat steps).

2006 Lincoln LS

To reset the 2006 Lincoln LS oil change light, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).

2. Press the STATUS control to access the System Check function.

3. Press RESET to reset oil %.

4. Press and hold the RESET control to set to 100%.  After a successful reset, the message centre will display OIL LIFE SET TO 100%.

5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2006 Lincoln LS Controls

2003 Honda Element

To reset the 2003 Honda Element Maintenance Required Light, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn off the engine.

2. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).

3. Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.

4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2003 Honda Elelment Reset

1. Reset the coloured indicator by inserting the key in the slot below the indicator.
