To reset the 2016 Smart ForT
wo service light after an oil change, please follow these instructions:
1. Close all doors, hood and trunk.
2. Turn ignition to position “1” (do not start the engine).
3. Press the scroll forward button on the end of the windshield wiper lever repeatedly until “Total distance” appears in the multi function display.
4. Use the scroll forward button to select “Service” menu page on the multi function display.
5. Press and hold the OK button on the end of the windshield wiper lever until the wrench symbol flashes on “Service” menu page and then keep holding for another 20 seconds. The service interval is reset after 20 seconds.
6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
