1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Press and hold the OIL RESET button for 5 seconds. The CHANGE OIL SOON indicator flashes to indicate the system is reset.
3. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
*The RESET button is inside the glove compartment.

To reset the 2017 Kia Soul 'Service Required' light after an oil change service, please follow these instructions:

1.Start the engine.
2. If a service is due the display will show "Service required". To reset this message, press the RESET button (down pointing arrow) on the bottom right of the steering wheel for more than 1 second.
3. The service interval will be reset to the default setting.
*The service interval feature has to be turned on and set by the user by accessing the SERVICE menu. 2. Press the vehicle information button (i)until OIL LIFE REMAINING displays.
3. Press and hold the SET/RESET button until 100% is displayed. You will hear 3 chimes and the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will go off.
4. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

3. Use the TRIP button to scroll through the menu and select OIL LIFE REMAINING.
4. Press and hold the RESET button for more than 5 seconds. The OIL LIFE REMAINING changes to 100% to indicate the system is reset.
5. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
