To reset the 2016 Ford Escape oil life % displays when the vehicle is due or past due for an oil change service. After performing an oil change, follow these instructions to reset the oil change % to 100%:
1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Press both the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time.
3. Keep both pedals fully pressed. After 3 seconds the “Service:Oil reset in prog.” message will be displayed.
4. After 25 seconds, the “Service: Oil reset complete” message will be displayed.
5. Release the accelerator and brake pedals.
6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
